Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which originated in China over 2000 years ago. The underlying principle behind TCM is that Qi or vital energy flows through the body in pathways or channels known as meridians. Pain or illness occurs when this Qi or vital energy is compromised in some way or unable to flow freely within these meridians, resulting in the body being sick or out of balance.

This treatment is extremely safe. It involves the insertion of fine, sterile, disposable needles into specific acupuncture points to move blood & energy blockages and encourage the normal flow of Qi through the body. We may also stimulate the acupuncture points using other methods of TCM, including Moxibustion, Cupping and Electro acupuncture
